Alma Modern coaches enrolled college students, and our services are purchased by parents or by adult students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
We use industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission, access controls, and secure hosting. No system is completely immune to breach, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take our obligations to protect your data seriously.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Alma Modern ("Alma Modern," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of our website and any services we provide. By submitting an inquiry, scheduling a call, or engaging our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms in full.
Alma Modern is a college success coaching practice. We help enrolled college students install the studying, productivity and mindset systems that college requires, coached 1:1 over a 3-month package. We are not a tutoring service, and we do not teach subject content. We are not a licensed therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist, physician, or medical provider of any kind, and nothing we provide is diagnosis, therapy, medical advice, or treatment for any condition. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any university, college, or academic institution. If your student needs medical or mental health care, please consult a licensed professional.
Our services include, but are not limited to:
Services are provided on a best-efforts basis. The scope, timeline, and expected outcomes of each engagement will be discussed and agreed upon during your onboarding call prior to coaching beginning.
To engage our services you must be at least 18 years of age, or be the parent or legal guardian enrolling a student. Coaching is available to students currently enrolled in college. We reserve the right to decline or discontinue services to any individual or family at our sole discretion, without obligation to provide a reason.
Coaching is sold as a 3-month package. The exact fee, payment schedule, and any applicable refund terms will be clearly disclosed and agreed upon in writing before coaching begins. Fees are quoted on the discovery call and are not published on this website.
Alma Modern offers outcome guarantees that are assessed inside the 3-month package. Where a guaranteed outcome is not met, our remedy is to continue coaching the student at no additional cost until it is, and that continued coaching is the sole and exclusive remedy. Guarantees are subject to eligibility, which is determined on the discovery call, and carry stipulations for factors outside the student's control, such as an unusually difficult course load. Guarantees require the student's active participation, including attendance at scheduled sessions and good-faith engagement with the coaching plan. We do not guarantee any particular GPA, class rank, degree completion, admission to any graduate or professional program, or employment outcome.
You agree to provide accurate, complete, and truthful information throughout our engagement, including honest reporting from the student about their academic situation. You understand that submitting false or materially misleading information may affect our ability to deliver services, may void applicable guarantees, and can result in termination of the engagement. You are solely responsible for decisions you and your student make based on our coaching.
By providing your email address or phone number you agree that we may contact you about your inquiry and your engagement. Marketing text messages are sent only to people who have affirmatively opted in, and you may withdraw that consent at any time by replying STOP. Full details are set out in our Privacy Policy.
The College Success Blueprint, and any proprietary strategies, frameworks, worksheets or methodologies shared with you during our engagement, are the confidential and proprietary information of Alma Modern. You agree not to share, publish, resell, or disclose this material to third parties without our prior written consent.
All content on the Alma Modern website — including written copy, graphics, logos, video, and visual design — is owned by or licensed to Alma Modern and protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any portion of our site or materials without our express written permission.
Our services rely on independent third-party platforms for scheduling, video calls, messaging and payment. Alma Modern is not responsible for the actions, decisions, terms, availability or practices of any third party. Your relationship with any third-party platform is governed solely by that party's own terms, which you are responsible for reviewing independently.
Either party may terminate the engagement at any time with written notice. Fees owed for coaching already delivered remain payable. Alma Modern may terminate services immediately if we determine you have provided false information, acted in bad faith, or violated any provision of these Terms. The Confidentiality, Intellectual Property, Limitation of Liability and Indemnification sections survive termination.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Alma Modern and its officers, employees, coaches and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services or reliance on our coaching. Our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the total fees actually paid by you to Alma Modern for the engagement in question.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Alma Modern and its team members from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misrepresentation of information, or your violation of any applicable law or regulation.
If a dispute arises between you and Alma Modern, we ask that you first contact us directly to attempt an informal resolution. If the matter cannot be resolved within 30 days, the dispute shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Orange County, California, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Both parties waive any right to a jury trial or class action in connection with disputes arising under these Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
We may update these Terms periodically. The most current version will always be available on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If a change is material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify active clients directly.
